or at least the warm ones...
We are looking for motivated Ph.D. students for our current projects. In addition to the stipend we offer a part time employment.
- Molecular mechanisms of hart failure - proteomics analysis as a tool for elucidation of involved molecular processes, for identification of biomarkers and potential drug targets.
- Membrane proteins of rare neuroendocrine tumors (phochromocytoma and paraganglioma) as future therapeutic targets.
You can join us right now! Just contact us. Positions for undergraduate students also available.
GREAT NEWS! We were awarded 2 AZV RESEARCH GRANTS for the period 2019-2022!
We can therefore continue our quest for elucidation of molecular mechanisms of heart failure and identification of markers and therapeutic targets of the disease (AZV ČR NV19-02-00130, jointly with IKEM) and also extend our efforts aiming at understanding the molecular processes associated with pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma (AZV NV19-01-00083, jointly with VFN).
Ondra Vít was recently awarded the Josef Chmelik Prize. This prize is given by the Czech Proteomic Society to the first author of the most outstanding proteomic paper published by a Czech team. Ondra received the prize for his 2016 paper (Vit O, et al. Large-scale identification of membrane proteins based on analysis of trypsin-protected transmembrane segments. J Proteomics. 2016 Oct 21;149:15-22.)
Our lab attended the EMBL conference "Proteomics in Cell Biology and Disease Mechanism" . At the conference Ondrej Vit was awarded a POSTER PRIZE for his poster "Exploring dark and greasy corners of proteome. Analysis of integral membrane proteins based on their transmembrane segments"
